GREETINGS

The 29th
of March will be 22 years since we
purchased 39N. For those of you who
weren't here, all you had was the
administration building, two rows of
T-hangars and the old runway and partial
taxiway with weeds growing through the
cracks. We have put much time, money
and effort to make Princeton Airport a
full service operation.
Most of you appreciate this by
basing your aircraft here;
purchasing fuel here; and letting us
do your maintenance. This allows us
to reinvest in the airport. As
space gets more precious, we will
have to serve those who have
supported us throughout the year.
It boils down to what type of
airport is important to you, and
whether you are committed to your
base of operations. Our thanks to
those who have been loyal 39N
pilots.

International Air Rally
Comes to 39N in July
Princeton
Airport in conjunction with the
Princeton Airport Flying Tigers will
host a leg of the International Air
Rally this summer. The rally will take
place in three countries and
celebrate three national holidays - we
will be hosting the participants for
July 4th.

The rally
will begin in Ottawa to celebrate Canada
Day on July 1st. Then the pilots will
continue into the US in time to
participate in a traditional
Independence Day at 39N. They will
proceed on the three country trip when
they commemo-rate Bastille Day on a
French island off the coast of Canada.
On March 24th there will be an
organizational meeting at 10:00 am
in the Pilots Lounge. We need help
make the layover at 39N a special
event for the pilots. Can you spare
some time?!?

Joint
project - AB139
This
state of the art, medium sized twin
engine helicopter is a product of a

User
Fees Proposed by FAA
General Aviation Would Take the Hit
An
new plan to finance the FAA has been
proposed with strong opposition from the
General Aviation community, and praise
from the airlines. We currently support
the aviation system through fuel taxes
and user fees at major airports. With
the new system everything you do would
cost extra fees and it would have a
devasting effect upon all of us. Please
keep abreast of what's happening and
contact your representatives in
Washington to make sure this plan goes
no further.

News from the
Princeton Airport Flying Tigers
Although we are still in the grip of
winter and our aviation activities are
not as frequent, our club continues to
remain active. Our tour of the Trenton
Tower was fun and educational. Because
of the threat of snow flurries, our
trip to Reading was limited to brunch.
Our next Fly-In is March 18th. Check
our site for details.
And our meeting will be on March 14th
for dinner. We will be discussing the
International Air Rally.

Flight School
Update:
Sudden departure of Stig Flem and Knut
Markus caught us off guard when they
returned to SC to teach. We are
actively recruiting more instructors,
however there seems to be a national
shortage.
CFI Don Peacock was in a car
accident immediately after his
interview, but he has finally joined
us. He will be here five days a
week. Jesse Gonzalez is working
weekends and all he needs is good
weather. CFII Srivatsa Kota will be
joining us mid-month, so scheduling
should be a bit easier. Many have
asked about GiGi who got married in
December in Pakistan. We regret to
say that we have not heard from
her. We apologize for these
inconveniences.
GROUND SCHOOL CLASSES:
Private: We
still do not have enough
students to make the class
viable - we need 12. We also
need an instructor. Stay tuned.
Instrument:
The class will begin Thursday,
March 8th at 7:00 p.m. Bryan
Boyle will be the instructor.
Read the first chapter in time
for the class. If you have not
signed up, call the office.
(Cost: The IFR Kit + $100.)
