FLIGHT INSTRUCTORS WANTED

Full or Part Time

Full Time:

Full time instructors as Raritan Valley Flying School have the opportunity of flying many hours per month.  Whether you seek a career as an instructor or plan to become an airline pilot, you will be able to enjoy teaching a beginner and making him or her a safe pilot.  Our fleet is large, thus you will have the airplanes necessary for scheduling.

Our full time instructors are paid a base salary plus hourly wages for air and ground time given.  The salary reflects the cost of living in the Central Jersey area and the expertise you bring to Princeton.  The implementation of the Jeppesen curricula assures the needed guidelines for the instructors and a continuum for the students to assure quality training.

We are currently looking for 2-3 full time instructors.

Part Time:

Frequently pilots become instructors and wish to teach on a part time basis.  Raritan Valley enjoys employing these pilots and tries to match the schedule of the students and the hours available from the part time instructors.  Part time instructors help serve the needs of the many more students who fly only on the weekends.  Once we agree upon a schedule it is imperative that part time instructors adhere to it to serve our students.

Full/Part Time:

Flight Coordinators:  The first person the public meets when calling or entering the airport is the flight coordinator.  That person answers the phone; schedules airplanes and instructors; enters transactions into the computer; sells flight training and merchandise in our pilot shop; and does other odd jobs frequently performed for a small business.

Full time coordinators work five days a week with two days off during the week.  Weekends are essential to our operations.  Because our hours of operation are from 7:30 a.m. to dark, the day is too long for just one person.  So full time flight coordinators work some of each shift - the morning shift starts at 7:30 a.m. ending at 2:00 p.m., while the afternoon shift works 6 1/2 hours ending at dark.  That shift starting time varies depending on the time of the years.  The person also works one full day from opening to close.

Part time help would be supplemental and the hours would have to be arranged, however again, weekends are important.

For further information, call 609921-3100 and speak with Laura or Naomi.
