Then there is Corey Boyle who wanted to earn his wings on his 17th Birthday - January 15. It seems the Boyle family was moving to Michigan and this was his last chance to fly in NJ. This day, the weather cooperated. Good luck Corey - we will miss you as our Webmaster.
Reminder: If you bring a student to Raritan Valley and the person enrolls, you will get a bonus of an hour free in a Cessna 152 when your friend solos. (Equivalent if you fly a different plane or fuel for your own.)
Editorial Clarification: Last month our wish list stated the desire for "qualified instructors". It should have read, "more qualified instructors". Oops!
Our sympathy to Mollie Haupt and the rest of the Haupt family on the untimely death of Bill and Sharon. Bill was a commercial pilot and a friend at 39N. We will miss them.
Welcome to Our Staff - CFII Trond Halverson. Trond, a Norwegian, who trained and worked in South Carolina, hopes to help our students reach their goals.

News from the Princeton Airport's Flying Tigers
The January dinner meeting was held at Good Time Charlie's. The primary concern was the places for the fly-ins for 2000. Members are urged to send their choices ASAP to 736QM@aol.com or by phone (609) 490-1494.
Steve A2Z will be taking orders for shirts, caps, etc. E-mail him at N4684K@aol.com or (609) 466-4261. Let's show club spirit.
If you haven't yet joined or are a member and haven't paid your dues, send $15 / family to Dick Nierenberg, club treasurer. Eligibility for membership is to merely fly as a student or licensed pilot from 39N.
To Renters & IFR Students: N54084 has had an avionics transformation: Dual King 155 Nav/Coms; King Digital ADF; Northstar Loran & Garmin Audio Panel. Check this airplane out. It will rent for $4 / hour more.
Congratulations, Dave Bostain on your latest airplane, and S2B Pitts. Bored with his previous CAP10B, this plane proved its value, having flown up from Venezuela.
Does this weather have you down in the dumps? Think positive, only 49 days until spring, and only 61 days until daylight savings time.

The FAA is very concerned about the increase of accidents at night. They have directed designated examiners to begin flight tests later so that the student will complete at night. If you haven't had any night training in a while, call to make an appointment with a CFI.
Earn Your Pilot Proficiency Wings in 2000! Three hours of recurrent training and attendance at our class makes you eligible. The FAA will send you a lapel pin and a certificate. This class counts as a Safety Seminar for your Pilot Proficiency Program WINGS.
