Private Pilot Ground School

Despite few sign ups for the ground school class when posted, a capacity crowd turned out for the first class.  Good luck to the students and Bryan Boyle.

Princeton University Students

Once again we successfully introduced about 35 Princeton University sophomores to the world of general aviation.  For the fifth year the students majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering visit 39N and each gets 20 minutes at the controls with an hour in the air.  Perhaps one of them will design the aircraft of the future.  And the best part was the arrival of a beautiful Cessna Citation Ultra, which they were invited to inspect.  Perfect timing.

Congratulations, James Hunt, on the completion of the Navigator Program of the Air Force ROTC, Rutgers University.  Good luck in the Air Force.

Century Flight Systems, Inc.

Congratulations, Peter Rafle, who has been appointed by the FAA to be a Safety Counselor.  We have long recognized Pete as a excellent and wise pilot and instructor.  Now he will share his expertise to assure 39N's safety.

Staff Additions and Departures
Behind our newly arranged office we have two new flight coordinators, who are anxious to help you.  Welcome, Chris Stark and Tim Terron.
On the line we welcome part timer Matt McCann and David Orihuela.
Well wishes to Ivan Melus who has returned to Slovakia, and Pia Eerikainen who is pursuing other endeavors.

Traffic Pattern

Please familiarize yourself with the traffic pattern as published.  We know our long time pilots fly in accordance with the AFD--to you who might not be sure,  please check or ask for guidance.

This & That…

  • We plan to send the contributions in memory of Simon Reynolds to the family by November 10th.  Please bring your donation to the office.
  • If you enrolled recently and there was a memo in your kit pertaining to a FAR/AIM, come to the office--they have arrived.
  • Ben Yedlin a WWII navigator, has written a book, "Brother Men Who Fly".  We have autographed copies in the shop.

Taxi Lane Construction

Weather permitting, the taxi lane construction should be completed by the end of November with 27 new tie-downs.  Hangars will be built during the next construction season.
