As the turmoil continues, we, at Princeton Airport, are trying to make the best of a very difficult situation. Flying has picked up and students are moving along with their training. All precautions are being taken to assure our customers of our safety procedures.
Intermixed with the off/on again TFRs, only add to the chaos, but we’ll all make sure that we fly in accordance with the situation. Always check for TFRs.
The weather has been much more cooperative, so come down and join us in the air.
Now, more than ever, you have to check for TFRs regularly, as there have been many changes at the last minute. Be careful!
ELITE FLIGHT EXPERIENCE
Cirrus Aircraft helped to celebrate the opening of Elite Flight Experience’s training center with its “Discover Cirrus Princeton” event. In addition to Elite’s brand new SR20, Cirrus displayed 2 new SR22s and a brand new Vision Jet. Music, food, videos, and plenty of Cirrus and Elite staff were on hand (The Elite team members were quite noticeable with their distinctive yellow shirts). The event was by invitation only, and had limited slots to comply with the social distancing requirements of COVID-19. It was a huge success with over 100 people attending.

I have always enjoyed giving introductory lessons in my daily work as a flight instructor. Meeting new people who bring new reactions to flight is a great aspect of being an instructor. Sometimes, the person who shows up for the lesson has other ideas of how things should go. I remember one older man who had just such an alternate flight plan in mind.
After de-briefing a primary student, I walked to the check-in desk to greet my next” student”. Two men were waiting for me. The younger of the two introduced me to his father, a quiet, serious man of about 75 years. His son explained that his father had flown B 17s in World War II but had not flown since 1946. His birthday was that week and this flight was a gift so he could re-experience his flying days. I explained that although the Cessna R was a different airplane, I was certain that he would enjoy the flight.
